A PloneEdu Project to Assist K-12 and Other Educational Institutions Adopting Plone
We are developing a product list to provide a working buildout or installation of Plone that meets the needs of core educational (including K-12) institutions "out of the box." The product list, rationale, and related information can be found at weblion.psu.edu/ploneedu/community/projects/buildout. Please add your comments, or contact us with feedback at support@weblion.psu.edu.
The buildout will include products that educational institutions have used in live production environments so that institutions new to Plone do not have to research from scratch which products and product versions to use. It will be based on the most current production release of Plone and will include instructions on how to use the buildout as well as a list of platforms it has been tested on.
How You Can Contribute
We would love to have you contribute to this project in any way you can! Please consider doing the following to help us:
- Send us a list of the products you use and like.
- Send us the name of one product you use and like.
- Tell us why you like a product we have listed.
- Tell us why you do not like a product we have listed.
- When our buildout is ready, tell us if you've tried it.
- Tell us about the platform on which you tried it.
- Try our buildout on your platform if it's not listed at weblion.psu.edu/ploneedu/community/projects/buildout, and tell us about it.
- Comment with new text or material you think would be useful at weblion.psu.edu/ploneedu/community/projects/buildout. Or contact us at support@weblion.psu.edu.
